CRUISER RALLY TO THE FOLLY, MEDINA RIVER, WEDNESDAY 1 TO THURSDAY 2 JULY 2026

The first of our July rallies relocated to The Folly on the River Medina, south of Cowes. In glorious weather three DQSC boats flying their club burgees were comfortably rafted off the convenient walk-ashore pontoon and crew enjoyed a lovely evening with good food and convivial company at the Folly Inn.

Moontide and Osprey set off home on Thursday whilst Jevon carried on up the River Medina to Newport Harbour. Mark is the Harbour Master, who is very welcoming and takes pride in the area. The Harbour dries although Mark is happy to provide fender boards and help any fin keel boat berth against the quay.

Newport is the historic county town of the Isle of Wight and well worth a visit for its beautiful architecture and bustling high street.
